Booking procedures for the independent groups 

The booking procedures took effect on 1st October 2009.
From now on you buy the tickets according to the real number of persons in each group.

The booking charge and admission fee will from now on be included in the same ticket.

Two rates will apply according to the visit time slot that you book:
-The full rate applies if the start of the visit is scheduled between 9:50 am and 2:55 pm.
-The reduced rate applies if the start of the visit is scheduled before 9:50 am or after 2:55 pm.

Two types of tour will be available to you according to the cultural programme of the Château:
-The tour of the Grand Apartments whatever the cultural programme of the Château may be.
-The tour of all the places of the Château open to visitors and admission to the exhibition when the cultural programme allows this.

*Warning : from July 1st, 2010, the ticket reduced rate " All Tours allowing independent access to the Château + Exhibition " will cost 13€ instead of 11.5€.

Eductours: All year round, the Château de Versailles organises educational tours – Eductours – intended for tourism professionals. These offer personalized versions of the standard tours or of the areas and apartments accessible exclusively at the request of groups (booking mandatory). We will present to you the rooms that can be privatized for a reception or an evening event.

Sales Manual: At the beginning of 2010, you will be able to download online our new Sales Manual. This tool will present all the range of offers of the Château with an appropriate level of information.

Note: The right to speak in the rooms of the museum is subject to mandatory reserve and is governed by law. The only people authorised to speak are the following: teachers in front of their pupils, lecturers, professional guides/interpreters and curators.
If you want to reserve audioguides for groups (for children : only from 8 years old), a booking by fax is required,

Access

The independant groups must go to the groups entrance, the B entrance, the day of their visit.

Procedures for the guide tours

Tours with commentary by accredited professional guides, 25 persons maximum.
On request: access to all the parts of the Château that can be visited (subject to the availability of guides).
